Winter Holidays miscellanea

I've been busy during the holidays. I planned to go on a little trip on the Alps, but then a wild virus raised his head and kept me in bed for as long as a week.
While recovering from the illness, I managed to do some "stuff"...

Sono stato impegnato durante le vacanze. Avevo programmato di andare in montagna per capodanno, ma mi sono ammalato.
Durante questo riposo obbligato sono riuscito a fare un paio di cose interessanti.

I painted 3 old Grenadier Hobgoblins. It felt really good brushin' some metal again, however this was the only decent mini. My painting skills suffered from the 3 months stop.

Ho dipinto 3 vecchi Hobgoblin della Grenadier. E' stato bello dipingere nuovamente del metallo, ma questa è l'unica miniatura decente. Ho perso la mano dopo 3 mesi di pausa.

Next, I painted a psycho. I love the way this guy is hiding the knife behind his back.

Ho anche dipinto uno psicopatico della Mirliton. Adoro il look di questo modello.

I did play some good games too. I introduced a friend of mine to Operation Squad and LOTR:SBG. He was instantly hooked by both games, but he preferred the simplicity of LOTR over Operation Squad complicated but deep rules.

Ho anche introdotto Pise a Operation Squad ed al Signore degli Anelli. Ha preferito quest'ultimo per via delle regole decisamente più semplici.

I played Risk with my family, and literally wiped them from the map... except for my father. He resisted until the inevitable end. To be honest, he suffered from some really crappy dice rolling.

Per capodanno ho giocato a Risiko con la mia famiglia, e ho vinto clamorosamente (le mie armate sono le rosse...). L'unico che ha resistito è stato mio padre, anche se devo ammettere che ha sofferto di una sfortuna mostruosa con i dadi.

Finally, last night I played Operation Squad: Zombie mod. I got badly defeated, but the game was fun. Rick was the man of the evening, and killed an amazing total of 35 Zeds (yes, the name is a The Walking Dead reference, the real name is Riccardo).


Ieri sera ho giocato a Operation Squad: Zombie mod. Sono stato sconfitto pesantemente, ma mi sono divertito. Rick è stato l'uomo della serata e ha ucciso un incredibile totale di 35 azzannatori (sì, è una citazione di The Walking Dead, il vero nome è Riccardo).

That's pretty much all for now. I've purchased the wood I need to make a new table top for the custom gaming table, so expect some news soon. I also gathered a bunch of friends to play DnD.
