Dungeon Twister: Warrior No.2 (GZG)

Questo è un modello della Ground Zero Games. E' un po' piccolo, come scala, ma i dettagli sono buoni, la colata è precisa e pulita ed il prezzo è eccellente.

Mi sono divertito a dipingerlo, anche se credo che il volto non mi sia venuto benissimo.

La userò come guerriero per Dungeon Twister (ovviamente per il team giallo).

This is a Ground Zero Games Miniature. It's a little on the small side, but details are well sculpted, the casting is excellent and the price is low.

I enjoyed painting this model, even if the face is sub-pair.

I'll use her as a warrior for Dungeon Twister (yellow team).

Dungeon Twister: Warrior (Fantasy Flight Games)

I bought this mini some time ago. I became curious about this little mini in a long forgotten Descent box, and I bought it.

The mini in itself isn't that great: it's very 2 dimensional and presented some minor flash.

Despite this, I'm very satisfied of how it turned out. It will be used as a warrior for the blue team in Dungeon Twister.

Ho comperato questa miniatura circa 4 mesi fa in negozio più per curiosità che altro: il suo pacchetto giaceva tutto impolverato in un angolo del negozio, e su questo giganteggiava la scritta "Descent".

La miniatura in sè non è eccezionale: è un po' troppo bidimensionale e aveva un po' di bave.

A dispetto di questo devo ammettere di essermi veramente divertito a dipingerlo, e di essere molto soddisfatto del risultato. Penso lo userò come guerriero per il team blu a Dungeon Twister.

Dungeon Twister: Wizard (Mirliton? Grenadier?)

I purchased this mini at Lucca Comics 2012, a couple of months ago. It's a Mirliton figure (I guess...).

I'm very satisfied of it: the robe turned out better than I expected.

I'm still rather unsure if  should use it as the Dungeon Twister Blue Wizard. It's good, but the base is too high.

Ho comperato questa miniatura a Lucca Comics un paio di mesi fa. Credo sia della Mirliton, ma non ne sono sicuro.

Sono estremamente soddisfatto di come mi è riuscita: mantello e tunica sono venuti molto meglio del previsto.

Sono ancora un po' indeciso se utilizzarlo per Dungeon Twister: il modello è carino, ma la basetta l'ho fatta troppo alta. Vedremo!

Dungeon Twister: Minotaur/Troll No.2 (Mirliton)

Here I am again with a mini for Dungeon Twister. This time it's the count-as Troll of the yellow team, a mighty Minotaur!

Eccomi di nuovo con una miniatura per Dungeon Twister, un possente minotauro per la squadra gialla. Prenderà le veci del Troll (è difficile trovare un troll abbastanza piccolo da stare nelle caselle).

This is the last update on minis for now. It's a Privateer Press undead, which will be used as a "count as" Mechanork for Dungeon Twister.

As you may have noticed, I reduced the dimension of pics within this article. I can't decide if it's better this way or with bigger photos...

Per ora questa dovrebbe essere l'ultima miniatura. E' un non morto della Privateer Press, che sarà usato come Mechanork per Dungeon Twister.

Come avrete notato, ho ridimensionato le foto per una migliore visione. Non so decidermi se sono meglio così o ingrandite...

Dungeon Twister: Wall-Walker

Oltre che essere un wargamer sono anche un appassionato di giochi da tavolo. Tra questi, il mio preferito è Dungeon Twister. In questo gioco sono presenti, come nella migliore tradizione, chierici, maghi, guerrieri, ladri, troll, goblin, orchi e... passamuri (donne discinte in grado di attraversare le pareti del dungeon).
Il mio progetto è quello di sostituire a poco a poco tutti i segnalini in cartoncino con solide miniature in piombo.
Ho comperato le miniature dalla Mirliton a Lucca Comics, quest'anno.

I like boardgames. But I like painting and wargaming too! So, I decided to swap all the tokens of Dungeon Twister (my favorite 2-players game) with solid, 3-D chunks of lead.
Those minis were old Grenadier (I think). I bought them at Lucca Comics this year, from the Italian manufacturer Mirlinton.

Hellhund and Goblin

Ho appena finito di dipingere un cane demoniaco e un goblin, che userò per Wasteland (spero) e per Dungeon Twister. Forse il cane lo userò come mutante in un gioco di zombie, anche se è improbabile. Entrambi provengono dalla scatola delle Kakkole (GW).

I just finished painting a Hellhund and a Goblin. I'll use 'em for Wasteland or as mutants in a zombie game... maybe. I'll surely use the Gob for Dungeon Twister. Both come from the Ork Gretchin box (GW).

 

 

 

Settlers of Catan and Dungeon Twister games

La settimana scorsa ho fatto una partita ai Coloni di Catan con i miei amici. Sono riuscito a vincere per un punto soltanto, con  Pioli che mi tallonava.

Last week I had a play at Settlers of Catan with my friends. I managed to win for just one point, with Pioli second. 

Sono riuscito a vincere puntando la mia strategia sulla raccolta di grano, in quanto a causa della conformazione della plancia era facile ottenere il minerale ma il grano, il legno e l'argilla erano scarsi.

I won because I managed to control the wheat, because it was easy to barter the ore I needed with the wheat. It was much more difficult to obtain wood and clay. 

Tra ieri e oggi ho anche giocato per due volte a Dungeon Twister. Il gioco è divertente e stimolante. Un punto decisamente a favore va alla bassa dose di fortuna richiesta: in questo gioco l'unica cosa che conta è la capacità di pianificare le mosse in antcipo rispetto all'avversario.
Decisamente un bel gioco.

In the last two days I played twice at Dungeon Twister. It's fun and interesting. A point must be highlighted: in this game, YOU are the only one that matter. No dices, no randomly-picked cards. You must plan what you're gonna do before the other player can react. It's similar to a chess game, but it's much more "real-ish".
Really a good game.
