Out in the Void: Starfield on the cheap

Eccomi finalmente di ritorno dal mio viaggio oltre i confini dell'universo (cioè a Bologna e Modena), con un carico di nuove miniature per Impetus e il portafoglio notevolmente alleggerito.
Essendomi presa la fregola di Full Thrust, un gioco eccellente di combattimenti spaziali della Ground Zero Games, volevo anche un tavolo da gioco degno di questo nome.
Inizialmente avevo pensato di comperare un panno di feltro nero, poi mi sono ricordato di avere in solaio un pezzo di compensato da 4mm delle dimensioni opportune. Sono quindi andato in cartoleria e ho comperato due cartoncini Bristol neri di 70cmx100cm, li ho incollati alle tavole (4 tavole da 70cmx50cm)e ho nastrato i bordi.
Aggiunti un po' di puntini di vari colori e un paio di nebulose con dei colori economici ed ecco - una tavola da gioco per poco meno di 2€!

I am finally back from my trip beyond the borders of the universe (that is, in Bologna and Modena), with a load of new miniatures for Impetus and my wallet noticeably lighter.
I'm getting a bit overentusiat about Full Thrust, an excellent game of space combat games by Ground Zero Games, so I wanted a gaming table worthy of it.
I thought about buying a piece of black felt, then I remembered I had a piece of plywood in the attic of the right dimensions. I went to the stationery store and I bought two black Bristol-type cardboard of 70cmx100cm , glued them to the boards (4 boards of 70cmx50cm) and taped the edges with black dutch tape.
Added a little dots of various colors and a couple of nebulae with economic colours and behold - a game table for less than 2 €!

In questi giorni ho portato avanti un paio di progetti: un troll per Dungeon Twister e due maghi.

Ho anche terminato di dipingere l'ultimo dei soldati in tuta NBC della Mirliton che avevo comperato al Play e un lupo che era nello stesso blister di Caperucita Roja della Tales of War.

I also finished painting my last soldier in NBC suit (Mirliton) I bought at Play and a wolf that was in the same pack of Caperucita Roja (Tales of War).

Oggi ho anche fatto una partita (la prima) a G.O.B.S.! , un gioco di astronavi coinvolgente, gratuito, semplice e carino. Non so se ci giocherò ancora (un po' lunghetto...) però di seguito ci sono le foto della partita. Io comandavo la flotta opaca, mentre la Chiara quella dai colori brillanti. Io ero in netta inferiorità numerica, ma le mie navi erano cariche di siluri (21), che mi hanno fatto vincere la partita (navi ammassate = più di una vittima per siluro).

Today I had my first game at G.O.B.S.!, a starship wargame. Simple, quite fun and gratis, but a little too long (same lenght that a 500pt Lord of the Rings battle). To follow, pics of the battle. I commanded the dull fleet, while my girlfriend had the bright coloured one. I was greatly outnumbered, but my ships were loaded with torpedos (3 on each frigate and 6 on my dreadnought), and they won me the fight (when you mass ships together you're asking for trubles...)
