Miniatures: Lotr Dùnedain

Another miniature that sat unpainted for too long: a GW LoTR Dunedain, side-to-side with an older miniature.

Ho terminato anche questo Dunedain della GW, un'altra miniatura che è rimasta per anni semidipinta. Quello di destra è un vecchio Dunedain, giusto per comparazione.

Miniatures: LoTR High Elves

It has been a long time since I wrote on this blog. Last month was a busy one, since I'm finalising all the papers needed to go in an Erasmus exchange in Finland. I'll go in January, and I'll stay there until May.

I didn't wrote, nor I painted much either. I did play loads of games, through.
I've shot some photos of the elves. I finished painting many of them yesterday, but I had them forever (they were with me since 2005),  just sitting around in a dusty box. The heroes and the white cloaked soldier were painted some 5 years ago.
There are still some elves I have to paint. They are all conversions, mainly spear and shield equipped.

Miniatures: LoTR Dwarfs

I painted four dwarfs to make an honor guard for Gimli.
They're all old LoTR GW minis, and while costing an arm and a leg they are well sculpted, and fit well in what "Tolkien's Middle Earth" is in my imaginary.
For now they'll double as minis for my D&D PC, a dwarf warrior.

Ho dipinto quattro nani per fare una guardia d'onore a Gimli.
Sono tutti vecchi nani della GW. Sono scolpiti bene, anche se costano un botto, e corrispondono alla mia immagine di nano della Terra di Mezzo.
Al momento fungono anche da miniature per il mio personaggio di D&D, un guerriero nano.

"La Pinta" (The Pint), part 15 - Finished

Lastly, I've some decent photos of my work. They're not perfect, but today is a very foggy day. I'm posting 'em in just in case I can't take any tomorrow.

Ed ecco, dopo tre mesi di lavoro, il frutto delle mie fatiche. Le foto non sono perfette, data la giornata nebbiosa, ma serviranno allo scopo se domani non riuscirò a farne di migliori.

Eccomi di nuovo. E' un aggiornamento veloce, non c'è molto da dire: le immagini si commentano da sole e ho poco tempo.

I' be been still for a rather long time due to the lessons in chemistry. Now I'm back in business, but the time is few and I still have a lot of work to do.

Sono rimasto fermo un bel po'a causa delle lezioni della magistrale, ma ora mi sono rimesso al lavoro. Tanto lavoro da fare e poco tempo!

Ho approfittato della giornata di sole per fare un paio di foto decenti. L'unico avanzamento è stata l'aggiunta della piombatura alle finestre, fatta con una rete antivento in plastica.

Last week real life got in the way of getting things done: I've worked really hard to finish my thesis and the related slideshow. This Friday I'll graduate in Chemistry, and next Monday I'll start following the Master's Degree lessons. So this week I have quite a lot of time to spend on modelling.    :)

La settimana scorsa sono stato molto impegnato: ho finito la tesi e la relativa presentazione. Questo venerdì mi laureerò in Chimica e lunedì inizierò i corsi della magistrale, quindi questa settimana avrò un po' di tempo per fare modellismo.

Currently I'm pretty much struck. I'm working horribly hard to finish my thesis in chemistry, so I've made fewer progresses than usual on the pub.

Sono bloccato. Adesso sto lavorando sulla mia tesi di laurea, perchè la discussione è prossima, quindi ho fatto meno progressi del solito.
