Tragedy strikes again: flood

4 days ago a breach occourred in the levee that held the Secchia (bucket) river at bay. This happened about 20 km south of where I took this photo. (footnote: my house is 5 km further away)
It's a wonderful and sad picture of the flood.
They closed the breach yesterday, but 75 square kilometers are still under the water, and lots of people got their house devastated (again). 

4 giorni fa il Secchia ha rotto l'argine a nord di Modena. Tra il posto in cui ho scattato questa foto e la breccia ci sono più di 20 km (ancora 5 prima di arrivare a casa mia).
E' un'immagine bellissima e deprimente allo stesso tempo, perchè non si può non pensare a tutti coloro che hanno perso (di nuovo) casa o azienda.
Il buco è stato chiuso ieri, ma ci sono ancora 75 Km quadrati di terreni sott'acqua.
