Infinity Play: PanOceania vs Ariadna, Sectorial Starter Sets

Innanzitutto mi scuso per la carenza di post in queste settimane. La fine delle lezioni all'università ha comportato un aumento esponenziale del lavoro: sto preparando tre esami, da dare tutti in Giugno, e questo comporta un notevole carico di studio.

First of all, excuse me for the lack of posts during those weeks. The end of the university lessons lead to an exponential growth of my homeworks: I'm preparing three exams, all of 'em for June, and this means loads of things to study.

Nonostante tutto giovedì scorso ho avuto modo di fare la mia terza partita a Infinity con le miniature ufficiali (sì, ho già dipinto il set di Caledonia, ma non ho ancora fatto le foto). Se devo essere sincero mi sarebbe piaciuto fotografare anche le due partite precedenti, ma non avevo con me il cellulare. Ho vinto tutte e tre le partite, giocando sempre con Caledonia, ma mi sono accorto di un errore madornale: ho letto tutte le distanze sulla tabella delle armi in centimetri, mentre erano pollici... della serie "siamo svegli"...

Despite all, last Thursday I got my third Infinity play with official minis (yes, I painted the Caledonia starter set, but I have yet to take pictures of 'em). To be honest I would also photograph the two previous games, but I did not have the phone with me. I won all three matches, always playing Caledonia against my girlfriend, but I noticed a big mistake I made: I read all the weapons range values in centimeters, while they were in inches... maybe I should sleep a bit more...

Venerdì io e i miei amici ci siamo ritrovati per una piacevole serata- svacco. Prima abbiamo giocato a Munchkin, che hanno visto un Pioli vincere di misura sull'implacabile Mors, poi ai Coloni di Catan, in cui il Mors è riuscito a strappare per un soffio la vittoria dalle mie mani, complice anche il Piolo (mi ha levato il certificato "strada più lunga" all'ultimo).

My friends and I met on friday for a gaming night. First we played Munchkin, whith Pioli winning with a final rush on Mors. After that we had a play with Settlers of Catan, in which Mors was able to win, with me just a point behind (I was ostacolated by Pioli, taking the "longest road" certificate from me at the end).

In definitiva un' ottima settimana. Ho anche scaricato le regole di Chain Reaction 3.0 (CR 3.0), un gioco della Two Hour Wargames, per provare le meccaniche. Alla decisione hanno contribuito grandemente Zerloon e Gnotta, con i loro eccellenti blog (Chez Gnotta's, Zerloon Place).

Ultimately a good week. I also downloaded the Chain Reaction 3.0 (CR 3.0) rulebook, a game by Two Hour Wargames, in order to test the mechanics of ATZ. Zerloon and Gnotta greatly contributed to this decision, with their excellent blogs (Chez Gnotta's, Zerloon Place).
